Product Director

We're seeking an experienced Product Director to work with our UK-based team of developers, designers, and testers to produce and deliver high quality software products for the mobile industry.

The Role

  • Own and drive product development projects and practices
  • Direct multiple engineering teams made up of software developers, testers, project managers and designers on a variety of product development projects
  • Brighton-based
  • US and UK customers

  • Make sure we deliver high quality products
  • Make sure we have the right team, tools, technology and processes to deliver successfully
  • Make sure we continue to improve the quality of our product and our practices

Requirements:

  • 5 years in a product management / program management role
  • Experience working with US customers
  • Experience in supporting multiple software teams
  • Experience in supporting remote staff
  • Excellent communicator and technical leader
  • Proven track record managing and delivering high value projects in excess of $1m
  • Demonstrable ability to assess and deliver emerging technologies
  • Ability to identify and fix problems with personnel and processes
  • Ability to motivate technical staff
  • Ability to persuade company leadership, sales, delivery staff and our customers
  • Experience with mobile, embedded, web, cloud technologies
  • Understands how to set up, deliver and communicate a product strategy

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and support product development
  • Work closely with customers to identify product needs
  • Weekly scheduling of product delivery work
  • Identifying improvements in processes
  • Product Scoping - how, what, who, when
  • Co-ordinate with the stakeholders in the project - dev lead, QA, project manager, design, sales, customer
  • Process control - understand how we build things, find the good and bad, make things better
  • Understand the technology, have a good oversight on the solutions, understand how development works
