We created a new API platform to help a world leader in automated wireless device testing scale up their service.

W2bi is an innovator and leader in the critical space of testing and validation chipsets and circuitry. As demand for their services increased, and partners had need of reliable tests and results regardless of location, W2bi recognized the need to introduce scale and connectivity to their high-end lab test environments.

Matchbox used Azure to support the distribution of W2bi's new, low-cost test tools. The Azure-based service is designed to support the requirements of W2BI, its partners and customers within a robust, scalable and flexible platform.

Matchbox architected and developed the solution for W2bi from scratch around a set of web services that had three primary functions; authentication, data storage and data retrieval. We chose the Azure framework because it provided the security, flexibility and functionality for us to quickly and confidently support the solution architecture and meet the project requirements.  

Using the Azure framework we built out APIs to support authentication using Active Directory with a backend Sales Force Integration to validate customer accounts. Azure provided us with a powerful set of tools for scripting, encrypting and managing the database enabling secure synchronization of user and test data from PC to cloud for storage, and then retrieval of test results and reports from the cloud hosted data. 

This combination of cloud computing, data and solutions architecture and API design led to a successful new product and service to help W2bi scale and grow out their services.
