Challenge

EX-IQ wanted to help students study more effectively by transforming traditional study materials into more accessible formats. They needed a digital platform that could leverage their AI technology while making it easy for students to interact with content, capture insights, organise notes and access learning materials across multiple devices and channels.

Our thinking

We recommended designing a digital learning ecosystem built around audio learning, quick interactions and seamless access to content. By allowing students to listen to study material and capture key snippets through voice or touch, the platform would support more flexible and efficient study habits while providing a consistent experience across web and mobile applications.

Execution

Matchbox designed and developed a complete digital platform comprising customer-facing web applications and native iOS and Android apps for smartphones and tablets. The solution integrated EX-IQ's AI technology to convert study materials into audiobooks and allowed users to save text snippets, tag them and add digital notes through voice or touch interactions. The web platform, operational systems and Learning Management System (LMS) were developed using Next.js and Node.js, with a modern React-based administration portal providing secure content management and operational controls. The platform was hosted on AWS and incorporated scalable cloud infrastructure, secure authentication services, APIs, backend services and data synchronisation processes to support seamless operation across web and mobile channels.

Outcome

EX-IQ gained a fully integrated digital learning platform that makes study materials more accessible and interactive, helping students capture insights quickly and study more efficiently. The platform provides a seamless experience across web and mobile channels while giving the business a scalable foundation for future growth and product development.
