AI Scoping - Investment Services

Challenge
MARKER wanted to enhance its customer onboarding tool with AI capabilities. The existing approach relied mainly on length-based scoring of responses to onboarding questions, which limited the ability to assess the quality and meaning of client answers.
Our thinking
We recommended using natural language processing to analyse the content of responses rather than their length. Combining NLP with business logic would enable more accurate evaluation of answer quality, while using established third-party APIs allowed MARKER to introduce these capabilities efficiently.
Execution
Matchbox analysed key onboarding questions and how responses could be evaluated through machine-reading and content analysis. We identified suitable third-party NLP APIs and provided guidance on how these could be integrated into the existing platform.
Outcome
MARKER gained a clear approach to introducing AI-driven analysis into its onboarding process, enabling more meaningful assessment of client responses and improving the effectiveness of the tool.
