Cloud-Based ERP Job Management Platform For ATI
Challenge
ATI, an insurance claims management company, needed to modernise its job management processes as part of a wider digital transformation programme. Existing systems and workflows lacked the structure, scalability and operational visibility required to support efficient claims processing and future growth. ATI also wanted to improve the accuracy and consistency of restoration estimates, including the calculation of materials required to restore flood- and damage-affected properties.
Our thinking
We recommended replacing the existing approach with a streamlined, cloud-based ERP job management platform that would provide a single system for managing jobs, workflows, users and reporting. From the outset, we identified opportunities to incorporate AI-powered capabilities that could further improve operational efficiency, estimation accuracy and decision-making as the platform evolved.
Execution
Matchbox designed, developed and deployed a bespoke ERP job management system built using React, Node.js and AWS cloud services. The platform provides ATI with a centralised solution for managing claims-related workflows, job allocation, operational processes and reporting. As part of the solution, we developed a material calculation optimiser that enables claims adjusters to enter room measurements and restoration requirements, automatically calculating the quantities of materials needed for repairs, including paint, carpet, flooring and underlay. This significantly reduced manual effort and improved consistency across estimates. The platform architecture also incorporated opportunities for future AI-powered automation, including: • Material estimation and optimisation assistance • Intelligent job categorisation and routing • Predictive workflow optimisation • Enhanced reporting and decision support The platform was designed with scalability, security and maintainability in mind, providing a robust foundation for future enhancements and AI integration.
Outcome
ATI gained a modern, streamlined ERP platform that improves operational efficiency, increases visibility across job workflows and provides more consistent restoration estimates. The material calculation optimiser reduced manual effort and helped standardise estimation processes, while the scalable cloud architecture positions ATI to take advantage of future AI-powered automation and data-driven decision-making as its digital transformation continues.
