Designing a Seamless Desktop Booking Experience for Hotels.com

Challenge
Hotels.com wanted to extend its award-winning booking experience to a desktop application while aligning with a new global brand identity. The challenge was to deliver a consistent, high-quality user experience across different devices and usage contexts, without compromising usability or performance.

We focused on adapting the experience to suit both desktop and mobile contexts, ensuring usability whether at a desk or on the move. By combining strong UX design with brand alignment, we ensured the experience remained consistent, intuitive, and efficient across all touchpoints.

Matchbox worked closely with Hotels.com to design and build a desktop application that reflects the new brand while delivering a seamless booking journey. We rethought user flows for different usage scenarios and implemented features that ensured speed, clarity, and ease of navigation across devices.
