Technical Audit of Biolife Solutions’ Smart Shipper (SMART CAP)
Challenge
Biolife was experiencing performance, quality, and scalability issues within its platform, impacting reliability and limiting growth. The causes were unclear and likely spread across cloud infrastructure, integrations, APIs, and data architecture. Biolife needed an independent assessment to identify the root problems and define a clear path forward.
Our thinking
We determined that a hands-on technical assessment would provide the clearest understanding of the issues. By directly reviewing the platform’s infrastructure, integrations, APIs, and data architecture, we could identify the true sources of the problems and recommend practical improvements grounded in the current system.
Execution
Matchbox conducted a detailed review of the cloud infrastructure, integrations, APIs, and data architecture, working closely with the Biolife team to analyse how the platform operated in practice. We then provided clear, prioritised recommendations to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
Outcome
Biolife gained clarity on the root causes of its platform challenges and received actionable recommendations to address them. This strengthened system reliability and gave the engineering team a clearer roadmap for improving and scaling the platform.
