Voice-Powered Cooking Assistant for Perfect Steak

Omaha Steaks wanted to extend its brand into the kitchen through voice technology, creating a hands-free experience that helps customers cook the perfect steak. The challenge was to translate expert cooking knowledge into a simple, intuitive voice interaction.
Our thinking
We recommended building a voice-first cooking assistant that guides users step-by-step using natural interaction. By combining user inputs such as cut, thickness, and doneness with timed prompts and expert tips, we could deliver a practical and engaging experience that adds real value.
Execution
Matchbox designed and built Omaha Steaks’ first Alexa Skill, enabling users to select cooking preferences and receive guided instructions. The solution uses voice interaction, timers, and prompts to deliver a hands-free cooking experience across smart speakers and displays.
Outcome
Omaha Steaks gained a distinctive voice experience that enhances customer engagement and brings its expertise directly into the kitchen, helping users consistently achieve great cooking results.
