Voice Strategy and Alexa Experiences for Nescafé and KitKat

Challenge
Nestlé wanted to explore how voice technology could enhance customer engagement for its brands, Nescafé and KitKat. The challenge was to identify meaningful use cases that fit naturally into consumers’ daily routines while connecting with existing digital and commercial channels.
Our thinking
We recommended designing voice experiences around key consumption moments to “own the moment” and deliver real value. By aligning voice interactions with daily habits and integrating them with e-commerce and marketing channels, Nestlé could create engaging, connected brand experiences.
Execution
Matchbox defined a voice strategy and developed Alexa skill concepts for both brands. The experiences included interactive content, social sharing integration, voice-enabled product purchasing, and promotional mechanics that unlocked premium audio content through on-pack codes.
Outcome
Nestlé gained a clear voice strategy and innovative concepts that demonstrated how voice can drive engagement, extend brand presence, and connect digital experiences with commerce and promotions.
